Golden Thread

1. Data We Collect

Golden Thread collects the minimum information needed to deliver your personalized readings:

Birth information (date, time, city) — used exclusively to calculate BaZi charts and daily energy maps. This data is stored only on your device via Apple's local storage and never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Device ID and push token — used solely to deliver seasonal gateway notifications. This is the only identifying data our servers store, and only if you opt into push notifications.
Anonymous usage data — we do not use analytics SDKs, ad networks, or third-party tracking of any kind.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Name, email address, or phone number
GPS location or real-time location data
Contacts, photos, or any other on-device data
Browsing history or cross-app tracking identifiers

3. How We Use Your Data

Your birth information is processed locally to generate daily aura readings, personality blueprints, relationship analyses, and seasonal gateway timings. API requests contain only the derived birth fingerprint (a one-way hash), never the raw birth details. Push tokens are used exclusively to send the notifications you subscribe to.

4. Data Storage & Security

Birth data resides in your device's local storage and is never uploaded to our backend. The backend stores only anonymized push tokens and subscription verification receipts. All network communication uses HTTPS with modern TLS encryption.

5. Subscriptions & Purchases

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Golden Thread never receives or stores your credit card information. Subscription status is verified via Apple's receipt validation service.

6. Your Rights

You may delete all locally stored birth data at any time from the Profile screen within the app. To disable push notifications, use your device's Settings app. To request deletion of server-side data (push token), contact us at the email below.

7. Children's Privacy

Golden Thread is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
